Emerson Educational Consulting provides many services to meet your needs

9th and 10th grade Guidance - We meet with students and parents to discuss selection of the high school curricula, activities, and summer plans, and to answer general questions.

11th and 12th grade College Admissions Advising - Our complete college admissions package covers all facets of the admission process. It includes unlimited consultations - office visits, telephone calls and emails. We counsel the student concerning college selection and provide information about admission choices. Students and parents are carefully interviewed to help determine the optimal match of schools.

We:

• advise students and families about when and how to visit colleges and what to look for when visiting a school.
• assist students in corresponding with college personnel, including special interest faculty members and coaches.
• conduct college interview preparation with mock interviews.
• create a timeline for students based on application deadlines.
• help develop essay topics and effective essay structures. However, we will not write the essay.
• critique and evaluate all application material, including written work and portfolio presentations.
• help to create a dynamic three-dimensional application.
• advise students concerning the selection of teachers for college recommendations.
• assist students and families with the financial aid application process.
• assist students and their families with making the final college choice once acceptances have been received.
• prepare students and their families about what to expect during their first year.

We offer a complimentary get acquainted session for students and families who are beginning the college admission process.

Parent Consultations - We are available for one-on-one consultations with parents to discuss academic concerns, the college search and to review the application process.

College Application Review - This is for students who have compiled their list of schools and have worked hard on their applications. College Planning Services, Inc., will, prior to submission, review their applications, look at them for potential problems and make suggestions for improvement.

Informal In-Home Workshops - You gather five of your friends for coffee and we provide an interesting and informative two hour discussion about the college admission process.

Learn at Lunch Seminars - We offer lunchtime seminars as well as full and half day workshops about the college admission process for your employees.

Given the nature of the admissions process and the selectivity of many educational institutions, we cannot guarantee admission to any institution.
